HMR Program for Weight Management™

The HMR® Program for Weight Management at Tennessee Weight Loss and Surgery Center is a state of the art weight loss treatment that provides intensive lifestyle education, personalized attention and follow-up, and an emphasis on long-term weight and health management.  HMR® offers a variety of diet options appropriate for anyone wanting to lose 10-200 or more pounds.

The Decision-Free® Diet is a low or very low calorie diet that promotes rapid and significant weight loss under medical supervision.  It is ideal for those who need to lose 30 pounds or more, or for those whose health requires medical monitoring.  The average weight loss on this diet is 50-60 pounds, and many patients lose more.

Man teaching classThe Healthy Solutions®  Diet is a moderate diet offered with or without medical supervision.  The average weight loss is 35-40 pounds.

All HMR® diets use meal replacements (weight loss shakes, entrees, soup, multigrain cereal, and nutrition bars) to maximize weight loss and provide optimal nutrition.  HMR® diet plans are offered in several formats to meet every dieter’s needs.

Our clinic program offers weekly classes with individual coaching.  Specific “how to’s” of weight loss are taught, including easy ways to lower fat and calories, as well as simple strategies to add physical activity and more fruits and vegetables into the daily routine.  Participants keep simple records and use their own data to create weekly goals which they share with their health educator.  Through this close “coaching relationship,” participants learn to manage their weight within a structure of personal accountability and follow up.
